Barrukier, Sorceror of Meuhenn

With a velvet robe and a glass eye, Barrukier's appearance is unmistakable, though few have actually seen him. He calls himself the guardian of Meuhenn. Barrukier lives in a tower on winter rock, and the locals claim to have seen him at times roaming the woods and speaking with a large brown bear.

Kalhentris, Sea Witch of Chahliessa

The sailors' stories say Kalhentris abducts men from their ships and takes them to her underwater palace on the sea floor south of Eldoth Annador. There, they say, she keeps upside down jars of air-breathing creatures as pets and as subjects for her magical experiments. Some say she can take the form of a human, a mermaid, or a giant eel. Others say she has a human body with the sea serpent's head, green skin, gold eyes, and wide fins that fan up and back behind her head.

Together with her husband Olseipho, Kalhentris is caretaker of her domain. She seems to spend much of her time hunting Olseipho, whom she accuses of neglecting his duties.

Liviana Aurilla, Empress of Romia

Liviana came to power after the death of her brother Marius. Rumors say she envied her brother after he murdered their father to claim the empire for himself. Liviana embodies the spirit of her empire's excess, and her ambitions and aggression litter her personal history.

Olbrem, Protector of Nasat Suka

Persis, King of Hanekhera

Throughout the thick woods and fertile plains of Hanekhera, Persis surveys his kingdom personally. He looks forward to the future of his people, a future of political security and economic stability. With a stong will and a keen mind, he promotes peace and prosperity through law and order. He cultivates loyal followers in every province and city of his realm. He pursues justice for all his subjects, though some hate him for it. Blinded by their prejudice, many Hanekherans despise Persis for his Burdenian heritage. Nowhere is his opposition greater than in the city of Vecma. Persis struggles to strengthen his country at a time of rising threats on the borders and growing unrest among the citizens.

Raumaya, Storm Queen of Eldoth Annador

Whether vibrant and exhilarating or dark and brooding, Queen Raumaya always projects powerful emotions. She has reigned for thirteen centuries, and she strives to protect her people and their way of life. She provides abundance to the Eldothanes and delivers death to those who trespass her hospitality. Raumaya promotes a policy among the Eldothanes to ignore strangers with zeal, a policy designed to guard the secrets of Eldoth Annador's past.
