Geographic Regions

 
  • Abvonika - This kingdom stretches across a wide valley in the far north. The region's settlements are built along river basins fed by hot springs that provide enough warmth in winter for crops and growing trees. Despite the warm water, winter is harsh for the residents of this valley. Snow usually covers the ground half the year.

  • Aeguth - Aeguth is a deteriorating culture on the north eastern coast of the Chahliessa ocean. The history of Aeguth dates back to the first century after the great cataclysm. Two distinct civilizations flourished simultaneously in the northern and southern valleys. Many of the events of Aeguthite history are recorded in the Hanekhera and Abvonika Pre History.

  • Cwalnil Uxri - The southern slopes of the Murgontzun mountains are not very hospitable, but a few human settlements have arisen in the area. The main settlements are all along the vaguely defined 'Télenyhe Path', which is a relatively clear strip that meanders west-east through the area. For some unknown reason, the women of Cwalnil Uxri outnumber the men about five to one.

  • The Grove - Far to the north where the land is ice there is an ancient grove, populated by many magical creatures. The grove is kept hidden and protected by the sacred tree, which is more ancient than any of the magical creature’s ancestors. The children of the grove have been taught that Gaia the Mother of all life sleeps within the sacred tree. The Grove is home to many unusual beings, including the centaurs Kyo And Kiayra.

  • Iyka-d-Gykivph - Soon the secrets shall be told of King Aiyka, how he was created by the gods of the Chahliessa, and how he defeated the many dangers of the Tempest Of Aiyka. Be it also known that brave King Aiyka, against staggering odds, led the Gykivph army to rid the land of the unfit tribes and bring peace to his subjects. All shall know how Aiyka established the greatest kingdom that Raieh has ever seen.

  • Hanekhera - The kingdom of Hanekhera is nestled between two mountain ranges on the northwest coast of the great southern sea Chahliessa. The port city of Vecma is a hub of trade between the the northern lands and kingdoms across the sea. The region is populated by three distinct human races struggling for social influence and political power.

  • Kumul - Far to the northeast of the lands of Men lies Kumul, Realm of the Valkyrie. It is a subarctic, mountainous region bordered on the east, southeast and west by boreal forest, on the north and northeast by the Great Frost Glacier, and on the southwest by the nearly impassible Shartham Range. Kumul's mountains are arranged in great ridges that contain some of the continent's highest peaks. In the valleys between the mountain ridges there are several large lakes, each surrounded by forested hills.

  • Nasat Suka - Nasat Suka is a vast territory between the realms of Kumul, Burdegne, Lynse, Hanekhera,and Eldoth Annador. Terrifying beasts prowl the forests, forcing the terrorized populace to remain shut within walled cities and towns. The land is a crossroads for major trade routes connecting the surrounding realms.

  • Qiyn Phao Island - Due east of the Xeykiigh province of Iyka-d-Gykivph lies Qiyn Phao Island. The natives of the island, called the Qiyn, have a reputation of being extremely hospitable to foreigners. Since they live on such a small island, the Qiyn are a seafaring race. The Qiyn are widely known across Raieh for their beautiful wheel-shaped poems.

  • Romia - Romia labored to provide wealth and security and prosperity to the cities along the banks of the River Chalris and the coast of Esen Vihas, and from these she built a strong nation. Emboldened by her success, she spread her arms and embraced her neighbors. She grew to womanhood, changing her name to Romanium and caring for all of her new her subjects as a mother cares for her children.

  • Taluch - Taluch is the westernmost and largest of the lands in the fertile lands of southeast Erkemen settled by the three former Watcher family-tribes. The Taluchere was the first of the tribes to decline, and it also declined the most - by far. Taluch ceased to have any formal organization shortly after its first century of existence, and the Taluchere are feared and considered by most as wild animals.

  • Tarku - Tarku was the country in the middle of the three lands of the fertile far southeast Erkemen. Not only geographically, Tarku played a 'middle' role in many ways. Despite the formaiton of a cetralized democratic government, most villages of Tarku follow local or family leadership.

  • Taurehim - East of Kumul lies a vast boreal forest valley. This ancient wood is home to a sophisticated but reclusive elven culture who migrated here from the east after the great cataclysm. The only known city is Aelintiri, founded on a high hill in south central Taurehim. A spring of water gushes from the crest of the hill, crashing down a cascading waterfall into the valley below. The elves call it Iaurnen, and it is said that this spring flows from the stream of Time, connecting the place to the Past and the Future.

  • Vel - Home of the Great Watchers, Vel stretches across the eastern coast of Erkemen, on the shores of Naasen Vihas. Sollunessen is the first city founded by the cult of the Watchers of Vel. Located on top of Korrehan mesa, it is the site of the Great Hall and the Observatory of the Watchers.

  • Vihanuul - The island of Vihanuul is home to one of the most ancient cultures in all of Raieh. The isle is ruled by elves who call themselves the Vihani. The Vihani discourage visitors to their island and devote themselves to preserving their land and their way of life. They value visual art and performance art highly in untold subtle distinctions.
