However, we still haven't made an RPG module from it yet.
Raieh Regions
My first interest in Raieh was the kingdom of Hiat Anekh and their extensive history. They needed a past (Aeguth), and neighbors (Eldoth Annador), but those areas are as yet less defined than Hiat Anekh itself. I've also written the history for Abvonika, including the Khenaszi ancestors of the Abvonese, the emergence of the seven clans, and the subsequent imperial era.Meanwhile, Matt Taylor had written some interesting things about a land he calls Kumul, far north of Hiat Anekh. At the same time, Brett Thomson was developing material for an empire in the west called Romia. Matt had the great idea that the region between Kumul Romia, and Hiat Anekh could be frontier towns established along trade routes. I ran with that idea and started detailing Nasat Suka. Most of that material is still not uploaded... shame on me!
Projects on Location in Raieh
I am currently writing a couple of stories. One story takes place in Hiat Anekh and tells the story of one man's struggle for meaning in a world that has abandoned him, set within a conflict between cultural traditions and a new dynasty. The second story follows the journey of a prince to manhood as he ventures from Abvonika through Taurehim, Nasat Suka, and Eldoth Annador to Hiat Anekh. My other ambitions (which certainly seem to exceed my time allocations) include original artwork and maybe short animations. I'd also like to set up some areas of Raieh in a 3D adventure RPG game environment like Neverwinter Nights.
Related Software
I am also the project admin for cwick, the collaboration management software that powers the Raieh web site. Cwick is based on the UseMod WIKI source code, with several major features added, including image upload, page layout and css support, and web log (blog) support. Finally, I also wrote the Fractal software which generates many of the maps for this site. Matt Taylor added the Biome feature, which gives the maps much better and more meaningful colors than I had previously done.
