Myth And Lore

The world of Raieh has its own myths, legends, and lore. These stories might be imaginative speculations, they might be true stories, or perhaps a combination of both.

Doom Of Raieh

Rumors are whispered among the oldest races of a great struggle between the Hrasai. The spirit of Aio, High King of the Hrasai, contends against the spirit of Ahneo, deceiver and fallen lord of the elements. Those who travel far hear these rumors and shudder. For in itself each rumor is nothing more than curiosity, but taken together a sinister picture suggests itself, menacing yet indistinct, like the worry of a forgotten task left undone.

Kemynedag Ylve

The story of Ylve Járukolos, the elder leader of Cwalnil Uxri, has become legendary over the ages. Grandest of his legends is the origin of the Kemynedag Ylve holiday. Though still believed by most Cwalnil, it appears to be quite mythological in nature.

Falmaris

Legends tell of an ancient land of Falmaris, an elven kingdom which lay on the shores of Chahsryniessa. The elves of Falmaris were seafarers and explorers who sailed the four corners of Raieh and learned many of the deep mysteries of the sea. Legends say the elves brought a curse upon their land thousands of years ago, but they still wander the ocean Chahsryniessa to this day, searching for a way to remove the curse.

Draconians

Draconians are an ancient humanoid race which have existed for thousands of years. The history of the draconians is rooted in two early developments. The first was the draconians' growth in knowledge and mastery of phi. The second was the discovery of a deep underground ocean of a mysterious fluid they call taraol. The draconians grew in knowledge and power, and they nearly destroyed the world in a great cataclysm. Two thousand years later, many dangerous ruins on every continent still conceal the ancient secrets of this reptilian race.

The Hrasai

Amehkesir, servant of his Royal Highness King Perci, discovered a papyrus manuscript in the Aeguthite city of Osumparohbe. The script on the papyrus is the ancient tongue of Aegulise, but it has been translated here into the common tongue. What role did the Hrasai play in Raieh's past? Are they still relevant today?

The Journeys Of Sembil

Casind, legate of Parvonai and worthy among primortals, had three sons, Dajmil, Ulsil, and Sembil. Though his brothers served Parvonai mightily with their strength and wisdom, Sembil found other fame on a long and winding road.

Kyo and Kiayra

Far to the north where the land is ice there is an ancient grove, populated by many magical creatures. The grove is kept hidden and protected by the sacred tree, which is more ancient than any of the magical creature’s ancestors. The children of the grove have been taught that Gaia the Mother of all life sleeps within the sacred tree. Now tragedy has taken Kyo and Kiayra's parents from them. Kyo fights to save his parents, but can he win the struggle within his own soul?

Sir Slaughter

Sir Slaughter, The Wolf Wyvern of the Eagle House, The Holy Mother Church’s Crimson Hand, An Inquisitor of the Faith, The Greatest Arena fighter of all time.

The Skejad

The Skejad are an intelligent race of reptiles indigenous to the tropical rain forest of Haldarda. These reptiles are bipetal, but not humanoid. They appear as upright hunter reptiles of some long forgotten age. How will the Skejad survive in a world which sees them as barbaric and unnatural?
